Nation Event Singles

Then on the Sunday was the singles event. I had booked the latest flight I could possibly book which meant I needed to leave Stockport at 16. Which was when the fourth round was meant to start, so I had no chance of playing to the end, but the schedule wasn't known when I signed up for it. I thought 4 games would be easy to do in 7 hours but yeah I guess that was a bit optimistic of me. I couldn't switch much from my Teams roster because I was flying with the models, so I just switched out Rocket and Bob for Toad and Bullseye. Nations team Event

This weekend there was a team event in Manchester, UK, called nations and I was hoping to get a Swedish team together to go, but no one else wanted to join me so I applied to be a mercenary and the Irish team was in need of some assistance. Then two Irish players had an issue so we needed two more mercenaries. This lead to a rag tag bunch of players joining together at the last minute to play their best. It was a story about hope against all the odds.  The event is a 16 teams five men per team, so 80 players, run out of Elements Games in Stockport. The location is an old factory so it's very well isolated and gets hot, even on a slightly cooler day it was still a scorcher inside.  Nations has a strict highlander, so each team of five can only have one of each character, one of each team tactics card. Since there aren't enough scenarios you can have duplicates there but you must play all and can't have 3 of one. In the team was me, the world champion of MCP, for another coup

Swedish wind 2024 Top Cut

 Top Cut!!!! No matter how bad I played or how horrible my dice treated me, I made it to top cut so it was time to turn on the skill and learn from yesterdays mistakes. My first game I'm up against Erich, who was one of the Austrians that lost to us in the finals of the WTC. I knocked him out in the semifinals of the European Master of Warmachine back in 2015. Since then this is our first chance for a rematch. So I'm expecting a lot of terror.  He has brought Asgard with him, and I've been playing a lot of Asgard since I think they're a viable choice for the WTC, if you want to go for a team that's a little more janky and is all pay to flips. What my experience has taught me is that Sword sucks for Asgard and Thor hates facing ASM.  He wins priority, picks his own blues and gets Sword, I pull Skrulls. I pick 20 points and we're off to the races. On this setup I can play both Black Order and Webs but Black order doesn't like Asgard, and webs do so my choice i
