WTC 2025

The WTC is the highlight of my year, and we spend about six months preparing, theory building lists, shadowboxing matchups, and just generally playing the broken stuff in the game to have a just a tiny little shot at winning the event. This year my team went with Inhumans, Apocalypse, Shadowlands, Wakanda and Storm.  If you're not dropped behind a rock you know that I'm the Inhumans player and the biggest advantage of our team was that I was the best Inhumans player going to the event. One of the weaknesses of our team was that we didn't have a dedicated avengers player in our team but such is life.  List At the WTC you can't duplicate characters so my list looked a bit different than usual. I lost toad to our Apocalypse player, which meant I'm not in need of Voodoo since he's useless without a safe grab of the middle, which Toad provides. Inhumans the TBH way

So since they spoiled the new characters I've been deep diving into Inhumans. Inhumans were already the highest win rate faction since the card update the 30th september last year but they had some weakness, especially in the three threat slot and relied on splashes there. This made them unappealing out of a World Team Championship mentality and yes my whole year is a build up for that one tournament.  So I was very excited when they got two new three threats that are incredible good. Karnak is a meditate bot and I play him in all my Inhumans games. Gorgon is a big game hunter and I play him in about half my games. I especially look for him if I know my opponent is going to play some big size 4 character that I can throw around.  For the leader I always play Black Bolt. I playtested Maximus 3 times. The first time pre nerf Thor2 killed him brutally. The second game Hydra Sleeper-Hulk killed him. Third game pre nerf Thanos got the trigger on four attacks in a row and tossed my ...

Mutant weekender 2025

Intro Mutant Weekender is a tournament in London which is an two hour flight for me and the flight is less expensive than the trains to and from the airport.
