My thinking for WTC factions

 Factions for WTC.


  1. Wakanda.


Big shocker, highest win rate faction only really bad against convocation. People think the advanced RnD and spirit of Wakanda combo needs to be nerfed.


Drawback at the WTC: very few characters in faction and many of their options are bad. Which creates a big need for splash characters, then also the fact that Storm is the best xmen leader, leads to a lot of character problems.


  1. Web Warriors.

 

Webs are the third highest win rate faction, they have a solid core set of characters and don't fight for a lot of splashes. They can also avoid researcher which is a known web Warriors problem or tech in a second faction to solve it for them. I think webs are especially good at the WTC where every roster is a bit weaker so their power level is even higher. 


Drawbacks at the WTC: A lot of the objective steals people tech into their lists are Web Warriors.


  1. Convocation


Four threat modok and 5 threat Ultron can be played on every threat 17+ and they make for a very hard to kill team. Another benefit is the access to a lot of mystic attacks which both Wakanda and Webs hate. 


Drawbacks at the WTC: They dislike being on tables with a lot of terrain to throw at them and most of the time the opponents can force you into tables if they want to.


  1. Avengers


Sam is one of the strongest characters in the game and he got a good leadership. The addition of 5 threat black panther as a beater also really powered up sam's game plan.


Drawbacks at the WTC: Shares a lot of characters with shield. 


  1. X-Men


Storm is far and away the best X-Men leader and in a situation with limited safe extract grabs they are the Kings of getting in and out safely. A big stable of characters without much overlap and you get why they're ranked high.


Drawbacks at the WTC: Playing pay to flips increases the variability of your game. Sometimes you just fail every important flip and that's a lot harder in a team environment where you let your whole team down if you lose.


  1. Guardians


Their new big shiny toy got nerfed, in my opinion too harshly, but they still are a great faction with one of the best attrition leadership's in the game. 


Drawbacks at the WTC: Bill is a very popular man horse thingy and probably not even at his best in Guardians. They also rely on outside splashes as their big beaters since they don't have that in faction any more.


  1. Shield


with the addition of 4 threat Ironman Shield are ready to claim their throne as the kings of E maps, while a second game plan of 5 threat black panter delivery system has opened up more options in their game plan. This leaves shield in a great spot for the WTC.


Drawbacks at the WTC: Shares a lot of characters with Sam.


  1. Criminal Syndicate.


Kingpin is awesome at doing what he does and in an environment where the offensive output is slightly lower for everyone he's a great spot to dominate.


Drawbacks at the WTC: Black cat and bull's-eye are core characters in other rosters and Rhino a common splash. 


  1. Cabal


Kollar and Hugo are trying to convince me that Cabal is a better black order and that the new core box red skull needs a nerf. They are super wrong and everything hurts when I try to play it but kollar did get to the final of the league playing this bullshit so I guess it had some legs even if I'm currently 0-6 with it.


Drawbacks at the WTC: Thanos is good in many rosters and Zemo is one of the most popular splashes.


  1. Brotherhood


When everyone can't have a safe extract grab deception increases in value sharply, While also having the benefit that Magneto makes picking tables into a threat.


Drawbacks at the WTC: Toad is one of the most fought over models at the WTC. 


  1. Inhumans

Strong roster of many characters that can punch down the middle and with the leadership any long mover becomes a safe grab with eyes. There's also an extra benefit in how they can pick opponents that play more civilian extracts to get usage out of their good card.


Drawbacks at the WTC: They're not really the masters of anything and very difficult to pick match ups for.


  1. Asgard

There is power in having two pay to flip teams in your selection and after Storm, Asgard is the second best pay to flippers. 


Drawbacks at the WTC: You take away Hela, Bill, Wong and Toad from your team which is an incredible high opportunity cost just to have Thor fail his dice and you lose a game.
